Yet another 200%

This is the building forum for the Combat Boat 90. If you are interested in the STL's for this project, they are available to those who help me by contributing 15 Euro. Then you get access to a sub-forum where STL's, instructions and mods are located.

Yet another 200%

Postby vandborg » Sun Aug 16, 2020 8:25 am

Hi
I have started printing a 200% model and I would like to share my build with you.
The first parts are finished printing and the second is underway. I have had to divide the print into 4 parts to fit an Ender 3 PRO. All the parts that I make fit within the dimensions 200x200x250mm.
If it's within forum rules I would like to share the files with the rest of you. I use the Autodesk Netfabb application for work.

Then the 4 parts that make up Hull 1 are printed. It has taken a total of 72 hours.
The parts are glued together with the glue I have recommended in another post.
Now I am in the process of printing the parts for Hull 2. It turned out to be a total of 8 parts. These parts are a little smaller, so I can print 2 parts a day.
The hull will be lined on the inside with fiberglass and polyester. PLA has the good property that there are almost no solvents that work on PLA. On the outside, it will be filled with ordinary filler for cars.

Nice! I hope you saw that there is a more advanced version of the bow with working hatch? Just so you haven't missed that before you come too far with the project.

I have seen it, but I chose the old one for the sake of water penetration. However, I will probably intrigrate the top hatches in my model

I understand. :) yes a crash stop puts quite a bit of force on the bow and pretty much submerse it, so I understand your choice!

Here’s the 200% jet pumps I designed. The .step files are there if you want to modify them. I also included the .stl files do you can just slice and print them. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello again
Then I printed the 3½ section of the hull. I have collected it partly with the glue I have written about and my 3D pen. I am now in the process of sanding the hull with a rasp on a Proxxon.
I have the engines ready from another project. It is Turnigy XK3674-B-1900kv from Hobbyking. I have ESC's Hobbyking 100A with fan on so I have no problems with cooling.
The last parts of hull part number 3 are being printed, so I "only" need parts 4 and 5. Parts 2 and 3 had to be divided into 8 pieces so they could fit on an Ender 3. Part 4 is in 4 parts and part 5 and 2 parts.
That was all for this time.
Many greetings
Torben

It's so big. The whole 132cm without hull 5 is attached. Now I'm printing waterjets. I have not yet fitted hull 4 as it is easier to mount waterjets before it is mounted.
