Re: ICE Parts to be glued

hi!

Yes all of those are supposed to be glued together, as you can access the interior even after they are glued. However I suggest that if you plan to install LED's, do that before you glue the sections together.

Re: alternative sparkfun board

Hi! I have not tried that one, but from what I can see it should work just as fine as the Sparkfun board I've used! Nice that it has an onboard 5V supply, that can be handy! The functionality seems to be very similar.

Re: Olles CB90

My hull was water tight right after printing. I sealed any leftover gaps in the glue joints with epoxy as I put a thin strip of carbon fiber cloth over the seam to reinforce it. If you get leaks through the hull I would suggest coating the hull with a couple of layers of primer and then a couple of ...

Re: ELECTRICAL LOCO PRINT HELP

Which locomotive is it? If it is the Hectorrail 141, I suggest to divide the main body not in the center but a bit off-center so that the joint is not at the same position as the joint of the chassis. When you glue it together, use a bit of glass fiber tape or a piece of glass fiber cloth on the ins...

Re: Z70 AAA Battery Connection

If you are not experienced in electronics, I would suggest that you print the other chassis and try to find a completed battery instead. That one is quite some work to get it functioning correctly. If you want to give it a try, I suggest you search for "AAA open battery holder" on eBay . Buy one tha...

Re: Z70 Where do these pieces go

The staircases are to be installed just under the indents for the doors, the tank you can see on this picture.
It's the same attachment on the other side.

Re: iwannabetheguy1980's build

Yea I wasn't thinking it as a performance boost, more a fun tech-geeky thing. :) I do the exact same as you mentioned on my Combat Boat 90. The first design I used small 3D-printed electric pumps for cooling water, but that was very hard to get to work well because air bubbles often got trapped in t...

Re: iwannabetheguy1980's build

I know exactly what you mean with the manuals... that's why I haven't made more detailed instructions, it's a total pain... I was browsing through motors the other day because I work on a bunch of RC scale boats, and it struck me that it would be fun to build a car with a water-cooled motor... :) Ma...

Hi!

Take a look at this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tgc66TvEke4

(If this link becomes unavailable at some point, it's a Meshmixer tutorial on how to cut STL's).
