Re: iwannabetheguy1980's build
Wow! haha I had not even noticed that collision when I built mine. I have now removed 1,5mm from the outside of those supports, they were a lot thicker than needed anyway. I also updated the front suspension main frames with more room for the screws there, good idea. The idea with ball bearings in t...

Re: iwannabetheguy1980's build
That's a lot of nice car-related prints! I'm curious about the collision you mentioned with the dash, I'm looking at cross-section in the CAD here and I cannot really find what what you mean, can you elaborate (or show a picture) of exactly where the dash and the front structure collides?

Re: iwannabetheguy1980's build
Thanks a lot for the explanation! Yes you are right that maybe at least with a thinner battery it could be placed under the seats. Regarding tyres I have been looking into casting rubber tyres by first printing a plug on my resin printer to get the details, then cast a silicone mold and in that cast...

Re: iwannabetheguy1980's build
Fantastic! :D And it would be really nice if you wanted to share some of your upgraded parts, if so start a separate thread in the STL forum and add your things in there so it doesn't get messed up with other stuff. I know a lot of improvements can be made to the mechanics as I haven't spent that mu...

Re: Parameter of printing and motor :)
Sounds like a fun project! regarding the weight, no idea, it has to be tested. It depends on so many variables, for example how well your gearbox is turning. I think it's a good idea to spend some time to fine-sand the gears to make sure the gearbox run smooth. Expect to spend a couple of hours with...

Re: Parameter of printing and motor :)
Hi! Thanks! :) The most important advice I have regarding 3D-printing is to just try. If a print fails, no big deal, change the settings and try again. That is how you learn. Fun idea to transport the food! but you must have gotten the speed wrong? 5-10 meters per second is extremely fast, you will ...

Looking very good! you've done an amazing paint job! I suspect you're using an airbrush?

Here is a STEP-export of the A35 Tram (used in Stockholm public transport line "Tvärbanan").
